Oral Conscious Sedation
Let your anxious child benefit from Oral Conscious Sedation, a light form of sedation given in the form of a drinkable liquid in an amount measured for their weight. This sedation method is light and termed oral “conscious” sedation because your child is not induced to sleep. There are various types of oral conscious sedation medication available. Feel at ease knowing the oral conscious sedation used at Silver Star Dental is a very safe and effective method of providing dental care if your child is fearful and would not otherwise accept dental treatment. Beneficial effects of the medication include:
* reduced anxiety
* amnesia
* anti-nausea
* anti-allergy
* muscle relaxant
Rest easy knowing your child is in the hands of an expert specially trained in sedation. Lincoln dentist Dr. Hsu is certified to use oral conscious sedation by the Dental Board of California and received his certification at Loma Linda School of Dentistry in Southern California

A good candidate for a thigh lift procedure is someone who has a loss of skin tone and elasticity the areas of the thighs, buttocks and hips. A person may also desire a thigh lift surgery procedure if the skin in the thigh area sags, has an ‘orange peel’ appearance , a flabby and/or dimpled appearance. Another good indication that thigh lift surgery can help is the return of skin tone and appearance as you lift the loose skin. The thigh lift procedure is meant to produce a tighter, more natural result for the thigh and buttock skin while improving body contour. Thigh lift surgery can also decrease irregularities in the surface of the skin.

After the rhinoplasty surgery, a registered nurse monitors the patient closely in the recovery room until he or she is fully awake. After the patient is ready to be discharged by your plastic surgeon, a friend or relative shall escort the patient home and stay with him or her for that same night. The patient will follow specific postoperative instructions as written and discussed with the attending nurse. Although the patient may have some facial swelling and bruising during the first few days, there is minimal discomfort during the postoperative period
In the weeks, or sometimes months, following surgery, the patient may still experience some subtle swelling, especially in the tip. The final results of rhinoplasty may take up to one year or more to be completely apparent.

Detroit breast reconstruction – Over 190,000 women would be diagnosed with breast cancer in the United States in 2009 according to an estimate from the American Cancer Society, which predicted that close to 40,000 would die of the disease. Faced with such a deadly malady, doctors are often forced to remove the offending body part completely lest the tumor spread. Women who must undergo a mastectomy, however, are also presented with a whole host of potential physical and emotional woes over and above the cancer. The breast may seem purely decorative from certain perspectives, but often plays a central role in a woman’s sense of self and femininity.
It would be the epitome of understatement to suggest that the decision to have breast reconstruction is highly personal. Though a reconstructed breast will never look or feel exactly like the original breast, it can make a significant positive impact on the self image and quality of life of women who choose to undergo the procedure, and a study by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons released in 2008 found that 98% of women would choose breast reconstruction again. Detroit plastic surgeon, Dr. Mohamad H. Bazzi, is a board certified plastic surgeon providing breast surgery and a full range of cosmetic procedures.

Even if you are maintaining a healthy diet and sticking to a proper exercise plan, you may still experience areas of stubborn fat that will not respond to your exercise and diet. Liposuction surgery, also commonly referred to as liposculpting or body contouring is a plastic surgery procedure developed to target those areas of stubborn excess fat. Liposuction surgery is most commonly utilized to remove the excess fat, and shape the body, providing a more natural contour. This surgery procedure is frequently used in combination with other procedures such as a face lift procedure and tummy tuck surgery. The liposuction surgery procedure is not meant to be used as a method or alternative for losing weight. The best candidates for liposuction are following a proper diet and exercise regimen, are close to their ideal weight and have healthy skin with good elasticity.

Los Angeles breast reduction is not just about solving back and neck pain for disproportionate women. While it’s true that doctors like Los Angeles plastic surgeon, Dr. Steven Teitelbaum, do offer
these women relief from some of the ill effects of being a bit too voluptuous, there is also breast reduction for men to consider.
Gynecomastia, defined by Mirriam-Webster Online as “excessive development of the breast in the male,” is actually quite normal. Statistically, in fact, a man has a better chance of developing gynecomastia than not. Frequently it resolves itself, but even “man-boobs” that don’t need not be permanent. Just as Dr. Teitelbaum helps women with excessively large breasts, there is treatment to be had for gynecomastia. Male plastic surgery isn’t limited to moobs, either. While you see Dr. Teitelbaum as your gynecomastia surgeon, there are other procedures from which you might benefit as well.

Our perception of self doesn’t always agree with reality. The effects of this perception gap can be anywhere from hilarious to heart-breaking, depending on the size of the gap and from what vantage you observe it. Then again, others’ perception of us can be just
as skewed by seeming inconsequentials brought about naturally by the passage of time. You may not feel the onset of wrinkles and sagging skin, but that doesn’t make it pleasant to find oneself in possession of them, especially around the eyes. After all, your eyes are a focal point for your face; windows to the soul; fountains of expression. What is one to do when their expression is “old and tired”?
Dr. Ameen Habash is a cosmetic surgeon in Palm Desert, California, whose practice includes making his patients look younger and more attractive. An Eyelid lift is a minor surgery that can have major results. By surgically addressing puffiness and loose, saggy excess skin just around the eyes, the whole face can be improved. In addition, since a sufficiently drooping eyelid can obscure vision, an eyelid surgery in Palm Desert can improve more just just your appearance.

Abdominoplasty surgery, also referred to as a tummy tuck surgery, is a plastic surgery procedure designed to remove the excess fat tissue, trim and tighten the the abdominal skin and tighten the muscles of the abdomen in the mid to lower abdominal region providing a trim, fit looking mid section.
For women who have had more than one pregnancy, often times experience sagging skin in the abdominal region due to the skin stretching as the belly gets larger during pregnancy. When performing this plastic surgery procedure, the plastic surgeon lifts away the sagging skin, and stretches the skin downward toward the pelvis. The plastic surgeon will remove the excess skin, and the scar will generally rest at the “bikini line.” At this time, the surgeon will also remove excess fat tissues and tighten the abdominal muscles using stitches. In many cases, the abdominoplasty, or tummy tuck procedure requires moving the position of the navel upwards to compensate for lost abdominal skin. This procedure is often performed in combination with a liposuction surgery procedure of the thighs, hips love handles to enhance the overall result.

Breast augmentation with implants is a surgical procedure that can enhance your appearance by providing a more aesthetically pleasing contour to your body. This plastic surgery procedure can also boost self-confidence, and improve self image and self confidence. This procedure will not however, change your appearance to be an exact match for your ideal, nor will it cause other people to treat you differently than they would treat you before surgery.
Prior to your decision to have plastic surgery, you should give serious thought to your expectations of the surgery results, do research and learn as much as you can about the procedures you are interested in, and make sure that you thoroughly discuss these things with your plastic surgeon.

Cosmetic and plastic surgery provides us ability to do more than just alter our appearance and find beauty through a plastic surgery procedure like a breast augmentation or a face lift. Plastic surgery can also restore self esteem, and self confidence which ultimately changes the way we feel, and in turn, change the ways in which we interact with the world around us. The terms “Plastic surgery” and “cosmetic surgery” cover a large variety of different procedures, which are designed to alter and/or restore beauty and a youthful appearance.
Procedures such as breast augmentation, liposuction, tummy tucks, etc. are meant to shape areas of the body and provide a more pleasing contour. Procedures such as laser skin resurfacing, facial peels and microdermabrasion are utilized to and soften and improve skin tone while Dermal Filler and Botox injections, are beneficial in reducing and eliminating wrinkles and fine lines.

The plastic surgery consultation is an opportunity to meet your plastic surgeon, get comfortable with one another and most importantly, you will discuss with your plastic surgeon the areas of your appearance for which you desire improvement. When you contact the plastic surgeon’s office to schedule your consultation, the surgeon’s staff will send an you a packet that contains important information. This packet should include information about the plastic surgeon, the Surgeon’s office, policies and of course, information about your chosen plastic surgery procedure as well as information about the surgical facility where the procedure will be performed. It is important that you completely read and fully understand this information in order for you to be aware of what to expect, the surgery process and options available to you prior to your consultation. This packet will also includes a patient questionnaire about you, and your medical history.
During your consultation, the surgeon will perform an examination. Depending on the procedure, the surgeon will measure the area(s) of concern, take notes and the surgeon may also take “before” photos. The surgeon will discuss with you the options available for your procedure, such as the size of breast implants. In addition the surgeon will also offer his recommendations for you. You and your plastic surgeon will also thoroughly review the planned procedure, what to expect as you recover and your anticipated results.

Many plastic surgeons believe that when the correct individual dermal filler, or in some cases, the correct combination of fillers to treat wrinkles, the results are very similar to those achieved from much more invasive procedures.
Dermal fillers widely accepted and used in modern cosmetic dermatology and cosmetic surgery procedures as an instant aesthetic treatment. A dermal filler treatment is one of a small number of cosmetic procedures that typically provide immediate results and a noticeable improvement and does not require down time like procedures such as a face lift.
These days there is a mind boggling number of choices when electing to have a dermal filler treatment. It is not an uncommon practice for a cosmetic surgeon to utilize a single type of filler to treat more than one area of concern.
New York Cosmetic Dermatologist Dr. Karyn Grossman states “Each individual dermal filler has qualities that differ from other fillers, and therefore provide different results. By utilizing multiple filler types to treat different areas of a patients face, and using the best filler for each treatment area, one can achieve the most beautiful and natural looking results possible.”

Glancing through prosthetic history yields frequent mention of Ambroise ParĂ© (the father of medical amputation), citations of “earliest known” prosthetics, and commentary on how materials and technique changed very little over centuries. These are followed by the fact that tremendous advances in prosthetics have been made in the last century. Devices have become increasingly more advanced, with fiberglass, plastics, and other space-age materials replacing iron, leather, and wood. And the connection to breast implants in Beverly Hills?
Prosthesis is merely a word for an artificial device which replaces a body part or makes a body part work better. Arms and legs are easy examples (pirate movie, anyone?), but the term applies to a wide array of gadgets. Digits, teeth, eyes, ears, and even corrective lenses qualify. So does equipment placed inside the body surgically.
As with their external cousins, breast prosthetics implanted by Los Angeles plastic surgeon Dr. Marc Mani cannot take a one-size-fits-all approach. Each patient is unique and has unique needs and goals. Through incisions made at either the areola, the underarm, or the inframammary crease, breast implants are surgically placed behind the breast tissue and either over or under the underlying pectoral muscle. Since breast implant surgery is elective, and not generally covered by insurance, the decision to have breast implant surgery becomes that much more personal. Though the benefits of breast implants may not be as easily defined as those of a leg or an arm, they are no less real.

Plastic Surgeon in La Jolla – Self improvement has many faces, from selecting a sensible salad instead of a slab-o-steak to turning off the tube and tackling a tome of Tolstoy. Taking time for physical exercise improves not only your health, but improved health improves the way you feel generally. That may be why we seek to improve ourselves; it does make us feel better. What about the things we can’t change, however? The ubiquitous notion that a woman’s breasts should look a certain way and be a certain size runs far afoul of the reality that time and tide have a great deal more control over those atributes than she has. Dr. Robert Kearney provides highly personalized La Jolla breast augmentation care for a highly personal decision.

When is the right time, and what are the right conditions, to undergo a tummy tuck? First and foremost, only a qualified surgeon can definitively answer that question for any given patient. There are, however, some generally applicable details that are helpful to know.
For one thing, abdominoplasty is not a means of weight loss, though it can be useful once the weight is lost. The best abdominoplasty candidates are already in relatively good shape, and just have a large abdominal fat deposit or loose abdominal skin that does not respond to diet and exercise. The muscles of the abdominal wall are tightened during a tummy tuck, making the procedure particularly advantageous to women who, through pregnancy, have stretched their bodies beyond its ability to fully recover. The extent of scarring depends on the extensiveness of the procedure, and the incisions are made in inconspicuous locations, but it’s safe to assume that if someone cuts your belly open, there will be a scar.
Although usually an elective procedure, abdominoplasty shares at least commonality with all surgery; there is always a risk. A frank consultation with your plastic surgeon is an important step toward understanding all you face. Recognized as one of the top aesthetic surgeons in the U.S., Dr. Steven Teitelbaum provides Santa Monica abdominoplasty patients comprehensive care.

The modern skin resurfacing industry is dynamic and always changing. The lasers and techniques used are constantly being improved and updated and then implemented in clinical practice. When considering laser skin resurfacing procedures, it is important to remember a few important things regarding these procedures. Items such as differences in the depth of penetration, how many sessions are required to get a complete result, any down time that may be required and last but certainly not least, the cost or the procedure. A reputable Plastic Surgeon will be able to assist you in choosing the resurfacing procedure and techniques that will best suit your aesthetic goals and needs.
As we age, many skin conditions can emerge, such as fine lines and facial wrinkles, irregularities in the skin. Redness, blotchiness and pigment variances, excessive pore size, sun spots and more – all of these are conditions that can be treated with laser skin resurfacing procedures. There are several treatment techniques available to plastic surgeons and these can range from a very light and superficial skin resurfacing to deep skin resurfacing treatments using powerful lasers.

The right face lift surgery procedure can vary depending on the individual having a face lift procedure. For example, a person want to have a subtle lift to reduce sagging facial skin resulting from aging, while another individual may desire a full face lift procedure along with a neck lift, forehead lift and eyelid lift to give his or her face a complete make over for a total facial rejuvenation.
Yet another possibility is an individual who wants to augment a weak chin or cheekbones through the use of facial implants. Whatever your facial plastic surgery goal, make sure the plastic surgeon you choose to perform your procedure(s) will take the time to fully understand and address your concerns and custom tailor a surgical plan that fits your needs and can provide the results that fit your needs.

These days, a man with enlarged breasts is likely to endure embarrassment ridicule and social exclusion. The cause of this rarely discussed condition may be an imbalance of hormones, excess weight issues, the use of certain prescription medications and some cases have been linked to hormone treated foods such as chicken. Also Known as gynecomastia, the condition of enlarged breasts in men can be corrected through a plastic surgery procedure. The results of this procedure are aimed at providing a more contoured and natural looking chest.
During the male breast reduction surgery procedure, the excess fat is removed and , if needed, the skin around the breast is also trimmed. The amount of excess tissue and skin to be removed with be a determining factor in the surgeons approach and selection of technique. Liposuction techniques are generally used for this type of procedure, as liposuction allows for safe removal of larger amounts of fatty tissue. To remove an tissue that is thicker and more fibrous, the plastic surgeon will likely use surgical incisions These incisions are usually placed along the areola because the small scars from this surgery procedure are easily “camouflaged” and provide a nice natural appearance with the rest of the breast.

A very common health issue these days is foot pain. With longer workdays, and many jobs requiring people to be on their feet for a large portion of their work day, most of us will experience foot pain at one point or another in our lives. There are different types of foot pain that occurs in all places of the foot including the toes, ball, arch, instep, sole, heel, and ankle. As we age, the frequency and severity of foot pain generally increases such as ankle sprains and bone spurs.
The foot is divided into three main parts: forefoot, midfoot, and hindfoot. The forefoot is made up of the toes and the long bones that connect the toes to the foot, also referred to as metatarsals. The midfoot, more commonly referred to as the ‘arch’ of the foot, is comprised of five tarsal bones that are connected to the fore and hind foot with muscles and ligaments. The hindfoot, or as most refer to it , the “heel” and consists of three joints that connect the midfoot and ankle, including the heel bone. The treatment for each part of the foot depends on the condition and the techniques used by your podiatrist.
